When melting candles, stick to these few rules to get the best out of your candle!
When lighting your candle, always allow it to make a full melt pool. This means the wax has fully melted from one side of the candle to the other! When burning your candle for the first time, this can take about 3-4 hours (4 hours preferably). Every time you use your candle you should allow it to make a full melt pool, this ensures the candle doesn't begin to tunnel which can shorten the life of your candle dramatically. Please make sure you have enough time when lighting your candle fully allow this.
Wick maintenance is key for perfect burning. Trim the wick to between 5-6mm before each burn. This ensures it will burn evenly! Some mushrooming of the wick may occur - this is perfectly fine and does not affect the burning or fragrance of your candle.
When your candle resets after blowing out, it can have a cratered uneve appearance. This is a natural quality of soy wax and is absolutely normal. Do not worry if this happens.
When burning your candle only use it until it creates a full melt pool. Once a melt pool of approximately 1cm is created blow out your candle. Burning a candle for more than 4 hours at a time will shorten the life of your candle as it will make the vessel too hot causing the candle to melt quicker!
